Whatta Doll

I just have to mention this guy Sabrina and I met on the red carpet.

Boxtrolls

We didn’t catch his name because he was so busy talking about his incredible doll, Winnie from Boxtrolls. (I think he is either one of the creators or puppeteers, such was his enthusiasm.) I have never seen or felt a doll like this! It looks solid, but feels sort of  like modeling clay. Every party of her, from dress, to arms and legs, to hair, can be moved and will hold that position. Perfect for posing for stop motion animation.  Here Dee Bradley Baker, the voice of Fish, is holding his doll.

That is my dream, to actually hold the characters I play. Crazy enough, I have been heard to exclaim, “Look Mom! I’m a plush toy!”
