Last Night at the Annies

Red Carpet

The award show was fantastic. Lots of fun and definitely lots of happy winners. The day started with the show giving me the star’s dressing room! In past years people like; William Shatner, Patton Oswald, Tom Kenny and Patrick Warburton, had the star dressing room. This year, my name was on the door! Who woulda thunk?!?!

Last night I attended an awesome event at YouTube LA! What an amazing facility and organization. Youtubers have a top-notch, pro-grade resource right at their fingertips. Depending on your number of followers you have days where you can use their facility for free. There are also free classes and seminars. Our event was held by the Television Academy and Golin Marketing and the topic, Creating Content for Kids. Aside from my auditions and jobs, this is my next area of focus. Oh, and check out YouTube this Sunday where they will host/stream their own halftime show!YouTube2

A New Lalaloopsy

imagesS98IRYE2I was hired back to do another promo for the next Lalaloopsy film. This time they wanted a more mature, mom-like voice. Some days I’m a kid, and some days I’m their mom. And it’s all fun! The dvd is due out next month and I promise to post the trailer here.

Guess who’s coming to the Annies?!

The fun happens this weekend!

The end of  2014 brought a McDonalds commercial and a looping gig on a movie. A fun year in all, but I am looking forward to 2015! This will be my 10th year announcing the Annie Awards. In the next day I will be posting the sketches for this year’s red carpet dress….

Annie Award Nominations Announced

web-slider-nom-announcedI’m super excited for this years contenders for best animated picture.

“Best Animated Features nominations include: Big Hero 6 (Walt Disney Animation Studios), Cheatin’ (Plymptoons Studio), How to Train Your Dragon 2 (DreamWorks Animation SKG), Song of the Sea (GKIDS/Cartoon Saloon), The Book of Life (Reel FX), The Boxtrolls (Focus Features/Laika), The LEGO Movie (Warner Bros. Pictures), and The Tale of The Princess Kaguya (GKIDS/Studio Ghibli).” From PR Newswire

I haven’t seen all these movies, yet. The ones I have are great. It’s going to be tough. I’d love to know what your favorite is!

What is so wonderful about the Annie Awards is that they acknowledge all areas of animation. Quoting Frank Gladstone, ASIFA-Hollywood Executive Director “The Annies are a true celebration of the best talent in the animation industry, from big studio features to indie films, television series to internet shows, games, shorts and student films alike, as well as a wonderful group of juried award recipients again this year.”
